An international organization offering services to people who write, illustrate, or share a vital interest in children’s literature.  SCBWI acts as a network, offering conferences, critique groups, a newsletter and current information about children's book publishing. Formed in 1971, there are currently more than 18,000 members worldwide.

Founded in 1901, the Society's mission is to promote the art and appreciation of illustration. They sponsor exhibitions, lectures, scholarships and more at their home on 128 East 63rd Street in New York City.

GAG is a national union of illustrators, designers, web creators, production artists, surface designers and other creatives who have come together to pursue common goals, share their experience, raise industry standards, and improve the ability of visual creators to achieve satisfying and rewarding careers.
